Jensen Transformers, founded by the late Deane Jensen in 1974, designs and produces high-quality audio transformers. Using Jensen-pioneered computer-aided design and semi-automated manufacturing, they combine low distortion, wide bandwidth, linear phase response, and high noise rejection – standing as the world’s performance benchmark for 40 years. Hundreds of thousands are in worldwide use in applications ranging from guitar “direct boxes,” recording studios, sound reinforcement, test instruments, and home theater to solving “ground loop” issues on the space shuttle. In 1995, Jensen introduced the ISO-MAX® line of transformer-based “plug and play” products to solve system interfacing and noise problems. Jensen Transformers is located in Chatsworth, California.
Jensen Tranformers generously donated two of their renowned transformers as prizes for our Student Design Competition.
