Participants for the Student Recording Competition get their work reviewed and scored by one amazing group of well-known recording professionals, a.k.a. Judges. Here they are, one by one.

 

BRANDIE LANE

 

CAT 2 - TRADITIONAL STUDIO RECORDING

Brandie is currently serving as an United States Army staff sergeant and audio engineer with the West Point Band, located at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY.  Prior to joining the United States Army, Brandie held the position of head audio engineer at GRAMMY winning Sono Luminus, an independent classical label in northern Virginia, which boasts a catalog of over 90 artists and 400 titles.  In her free time, Brandie serves as an adjunct faculty member at New York University's Steinhardt School and as a freelance audio engineer and  consultant in the Hudson Valley area.

Her accolades include a 2010 GRAMMY Award for “Best Engineered Album, Classical”, engineering credits on 2010 and 2008 GRAMMY nominated albums, a 2005 Downbeat Award for “Best Engineering for a Live Recording” and an “Award of Excellence” from the 2007 Audio Engineering Society High Resolution Recording Competition.

Her professional affiliations include membership with the Audio Engineering Society and voting membership with The Recording Academy (Producers and Engineers Wing).
