Central Region Audio Student Summit is Coming Soon

The Fifth Annual Central Region Audio Student Summit will be rocking St. Louis March 18th - 20th at Webster University

Loads of great guest speakers will be lined up, in the past we've had Phil Ramone, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner, Bob Katz, and Frank Filipetti!

Students already have a variety of audio businesses involved as sponsors and exhibitors.

There will be panels and tutorials on such topics as Internships and Entry Level Positions, Home Recording, Gaming, the Future of Analog, Aesthetics, Studio Ownership, Women in Audio, Sound Reinforcement, Signal Processing and Vintage Gear, and Late Night Analog, to name a few.

We model the Summit on the AES conventions, just on a smaller scale.

Did we mention that we will have analog recording sessions on Friday and Saurday nights?

And everything is included in your $25 registration fee? Did we mention that we'll even throw in lunch on Saturday? And Sunday? Okay, since you asked, we'll throw in breakfast too!

This will be a great opportunity for students from the Central Region, some of whom cannot attend the conventions in New York or California that we love so much, to mingle with their peers from other educational institutions as well as professionals. It will give you the same opportunity to put your hands on gear and network with the pros, just like on the exhibition floor at the Javits or the Moscone Center. This event does not replace the big AES conventions, for those who go to New York or San Francisco this will supplement your experience, for those who can not go it will give you the opportunity to see what you are missing, and gather some knowledge, and make some new like-minded friends.

We hope you will attend. We also hope you will spread the word to everyone you know in the audio community: students, educators, home recordists, pros, AES members and non-members alike.
