Berlin Convention Technical ProgramAES 142nd Convention It's less than three weeks until the AES Berlin Convention opens. The Papers and Engineering Briefs sessions showcase the work of over 120 researchers on topics including 3D Recording and Reproduction, Binaural Listening, Bluetooth, and Digital Filter Design. Workshops bring panels of experts together to discuss a range of provocative and practical topics, such as Wind Noise in Microphones, Music Production for Film, Expert Transfer Techniques and Binaural Listening. Tutorials provide a varied horizon of presentations on important audio fundamentals, for young people and seasoned professionals alike, on 3D and Binaural Listening, Audio Forensics, Sound Design, to name but a few. Finally, Special Events are thought provoking, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to see and hear industry legends. The keynote speaker at the Opening Ceremonies is Dr. Alex Arteaga, leader of the Auditory Architecture Research Unit at Berlin University of the Arts, whose address will explore relationships between aurality, architecture and the environment.
