AES 137th Convention
Location: Los Angeles Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Dates: October 9–12, 2014
The AES returns to Los Angeles in October for the world's premiere audio
gathering. This is going to be a milestone convention, so save the date and
join your colleagues! Authors wishing to present an Engineering Brief must
submit a
short synopsis by August 13th.

Registration is open for the 55th Conference, which brings together researchers and practitioners in all aspects of spatial audio, including recording and reproduction, perception, transmission and coding. Dedicated workshops will give an up-to-date view of the practical implementation of spatial audio in different applications, such as broadcasting, game audio and the recording industry.

Potential contributors should note that the deadline for proposals is August 1st. The conference explores how games can get the most from their audio DSP, tools and workflow on console, PC and mobile platforms. A recent agreement between AES and Focal Press paves the way for a
joint series of publications on audio engineering. AES will establish a
review board to consider books for inclusion in the series, Focal Press
will publish them and give AES members a 30% discount off any Focal
Press title (not just the series) using the discount code found in the
AES Member Portal.
