This demo is a listener-adaptive soundbar for binaural audio reproduction. The soundbar has been developed inside the S3A Project “Future Audio for an Immersive Listening at Home” to provide immersive 3D audio in a compact form. The soundbar will be playing 3D audio content from a DAW or from a Blu-ray, rendering in real-time surround audio without the need of wearing headphones. The listener-adaptive head-tracking capabilities of the soundbar allows listeners to move in real-time, making the concept of sweet-spot obsolete in cross-talk cancellation systems, and allowing binaural audio through loudspeakers to work in real-life environments.
