Alexa Zimmerman is an Emmy-winning sound editor with nearly 20 years’ experience across the entertainment industry, including both narrative and documentary film, television and web series. Recent notable credits include: Dialogue Editor for Little Women, Hustlers, The Righteous Gemstones, Mary Poppins Returns, Roma and The Deuce. She also worked as the Supervising Sound Editor on Maniac with Emma Stone and Jonah Hill, directed by Cary Fukunaga, and on Triple Frontier with Oscar Isaac and Charlie Hunnam, directed by J.C. Chandor, both on Netflix.
Zimmerman has served for over ten years as a Board Member of the Motion Pictures Editors Guild, an organization that helps protect the rights of roughly 8,000+ post-production workers nationally. She was born and raised in New York City and earned her BA at Carnegie Mellon University.
