Wisam Reid is currently a PhD candidate in Speech & Hearing Bioscience & Technology (SHBT) at Harvard Medical School. Wisam holds a bachelors in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from UC Berkeley (2014) and has also obtained his master's degree in Music, Science & Technology from Stanford University (2017). Wisam's research involves biological physics-based modeling of auditory neural processing. Throughout his academic career, Wisam has been funded through a variety of means, including scholarships, fellowships, and grants. In addition to his academic pursuits, during his undergraduate and master's programs, Wisam filed a patent and incorporated a spatial audio start-up, String Theory Labs, Inc, funded through friend and family financing.
