Simon has over 20 years experience in the audio industry, initially in the broadcast sector and since then in the professional audio industry, working in live sound and latterly at Focusrite in the recording arena. At Focusrite, Simon has been responsible for the design of the company's range of audio interfaces, from the original Saffire firewire series, Scarlett USB series to the Clarett and Red Thunderbolt range. From the beginning of his career, he has been involved with IP networked systems, mostly for communications, but latterly including audio transport in Focusrite's RedNet system, for which he was the system architect, hardware, firmware and core software designer. As Chief Technical Office for Focusrite, he is responsible for bringing new and existing technology into the company's products.
