John Caracciolo

Primary Affiliation: JVC Media LLC - Ronkonkoma, NY, USA

John Caracciolo’s story started at the age of 21 when he became chief engineer at WLIR 92.7. In 1996 he took over the position of general manager of, WLIR and WDRE.
Under Caracciolo’s guidance and expertise, there was a quick and complete turnaround as a result of a new musical format, record advertising sales, unrivaled community spirit and prominent fundraising for Long Island charities.

In September of 2008 Caracciolo formed JVC Broadcasting Corporation with the plan of acquiring radio stations and running and operating them live and local. He acquired Long Island radio stations WPTY-FM and WBON-FM.

Finishing two years of broadcasting through a rough economy, JVC broke all sales records and grabbed an opportunity to expand. In January 2010 JVC purchased heritage rock station 103.9 WRCN and Suffolk County radio frequency 96.1 and quickly turned that into Long Island’s only Country music station.

Not one to take a rest in 2012, Caracciolo entered into a long term deal with the Town of Brookhaven to promote, manage and control the Brookhaven Amphitheater, a 7000 seat outdoor facility that had been losing money for the Town for over 10 years. Now remodeled and renamed as the Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater, the facility has already hosted over 350 events and shows with 62 record sellouts.

In 2013 Caracciolo expanded the JVC radio company with the purchase of 5 FM radio stations in Florida.
In September 2014 the group expanded with the purchase of five signals in the West Palm Beach market and in December 2014 the group acquired its largest facility, WOTW-FM in Orlando, Florida. In 2019 JVC acquired two additional radio signals in Orlando, FL.

JVC Broadcasting's John Caracciolo has over 34 years of radio, marketing, sales and live event experience.
Caracciolo attended New York Institute of Technology was recognized by Newsday in their five people to watch series on people in radio and Radio Ink voted Caracciolo one of the Top 10 Leaders in the broadcast industry in 2017 and 2018.
