Josh Lando received a B.S. in Computer Engineering and a Music Technology minor from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 2002. He has over 20 years of industry experience as a software engineer focused on digital signal processing and audio algorithms. He has also done freelance work as a live sound and recording engineer.
Since 2003, Josh has held various engineering roles at Dolby Laboratories and contributed to a variety of projects including perceptual audio coders, automotive audio, and immersive audio for consumer headphone and speaker products. He is currently a Senior Staff Research Engineer in the Advanced Technology Group at Dolby. He holds various patents in signal processing and is currently researching immersive audio rendering.
