Bringing its 70 years of experience in professional audio education to the NAMM Symposium, the AES gathered its leading industry experts to train attendees on practical applications of audio science and technology. "On behalf of all our members, we are grateful to the AES leadership team which has created the energy and excitement of [email protected],” said Joe Lamond, President and CEO of NAMM.
145th Convention Call for ContributionsAES 145th Convention Now's the time to get thinking about your potential contribution to our New York convention, taking place this coming October. Once again co-located with NAB Show New York, the 145th AES Convention is the premier professional audio gathering of the year. The committee is looking for papers, engineering briefs and workshop/tutorial proposals from the audio community. You can find out all you need to make your proposal in the Call for Contributions.

AES Launches Inside TrackThe AES has announced a new monthly online publication, The AES Inside Track, featuring expert industry curators highlighting an AES topic of choice, with editorial insight as well as links to related research topics, videos, important innovators in the field, and more. The AES Inside Track is available exclusively through the AES Member Portal and is an added member benefit, free to all AES members
AES Congratulates 60th GRAMMY AwardeesThe Audio Engineering Society congratulates AES members who brought home GRAMMY Awards. Jim Anderson and Darcy Proper won Best Surround Sound Album for their roles as mix and mastering engineer on Early Americans, Jane Ira Bloom's soprano sax jazz album recorded at Avatar Studios in 2015.
Mary Lea Simpson Memorial ScholarshipThe AES Educational Foundation has announced the formation of the Mary Lea Simpson Memorial Scholarship. Mary died suddenly in 2013 in a tragic building collapse in Philadelphia. The Scholarship, full tuition for final year of studies, is being offered to an undergraduate student entering senior year at a North American college or university Audio Engineering/Recording Arts Program.
