Listen, Inc., the world leader in audio test and measurement systems, is searching for a software engineer with an interest in audio to be part of a small but diverse software team which develops and codes audio algorithms for SoundCheck, Listen’s electroacoustic test software. As an active member of our Scrum team, you will work closely with other software engineers and programmers, writing, testing and debugging code for a commercial product.
SoundCheck, our flagship product, is a powerful large scale LabVIEW-based electroacoustic test software solution. Annual new releases with added functionality ensure that there is always something exciting to work on, and make it critical that the person in this role can maintain product quality while working to strict deadlines.
In this position, you will be introduced to and gain experience in:
- Developing user interfaces and virtual instruments in LabVIEW
- Tracking customer bugs and wishes
- Ensuring the software correctly interfaces with a wide range of devices
- Debugging LabVIEW code
- Agile / SCRUM software development methodology
You will have an interest in audio and/or measurement, and be comfortable with setting up and using hardware as well as coding software. Your enthusiasm will be key as you learn from and share knowledge with other team members, and use your creativity to solve problems. A perfectionist streak, pride in your work and attention to detail are key characteristics that are required for this role.

Skills and Education

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
- A methodical approach to coding, problem-solving, testing and documentation
- LabVIEW programming experience
- Interest in acoustics or sound and vibration engineering
- Knowledge of audio processing algorithms, acoustics and/or electronic measurement techniques
- Competency in LabVIEW, MATLAB, Excel and/or database programs
- Experience with, and an appreciation for, good user interface design
