About the Role & What you will do:

Harman EPIC Sound UeX, located in Struer Denmark, is proving all Harman automotive brands with strong iconic User Experiences concepts created with understanding and respect for each brand’s DNA - based on creative innovation and technologies within acoustic, magical interaction and material technologies and industrial designs.
Your responsibility is to create, drive and deliver advanced sound processing for In-car Acoustical solutions from the Global EPIC Sound UeX team and create and delivery Harman’s newest sound-field control technologies enabling cutting edge user experience concepts across a broad range of Automotive products and Brands. You will closely collaborate with other of Harman’s Advanced Acoustic Research and Development teams, drive sound SW acoustics technologies from idea over proof of concept, prototyping to hand-over for mass production preparation. Responsibilities include development of acoustic concepts with enabling DSP SW technologies in conjunction with industry leading Automotive OEMs. You will also work with external partners and Universities to develop acoustic concepts and solutions for integration into high performance car audio experience systems and potentially consumer devices and infotainment systems.

What you need:

•Degree in DSP SW and/or Acoustical engineering.
•Strong Expertise in Sound related DSP SW, especially ADI DSP SW, and Matlab.
•Substantial experience in complex concept and product development within Acoustics.
•Expertise in Audio technologies – both digital and acoustics.
•Passion for high quality audio experience and products.
•Proven history of delivering multiple products containing new sound DSP technology.
•Expertise in automotive-based acoustics and automotive market dynamics is a benefit.
•Must be able to work effectively in a globally distributed environment, occasional international travel is required.
•Strong English written and verbal communication skills – able to influence both technical and sales based audiences.
•Proven adeptness at navigating joint development projects with external partners.
