The 2019 AES International Conference on Audio Forensics will be held from June 18-20 at the Holiday Inn Porto-Gaia which is located in Gaia, quite near to the Porto city center.

The Holiday Inn hotel (coordinates 41°07'26.4"N 8°36'54.0"W or 41.124000, -8.615000) is located about 24 km (14.9 Mi) from the international Porto Airport. This airport is also known as the Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport (OPO) and offers direct flight connections to major European cities, the US (for example, the NJ Newark Int’l Airport), Canada, Brazil, and other continents. The national airline carrier is TAP with offices in most European capitals. The Lisbon airport is an alternative for global non-stop flights with a 50 minute connecting flight between Lisbon and Porto every hour on a daily basis. The train between the two cities runs each hour and is a 2h30 trip.
The Holiday Inn is conveniently located near a Metro station, João de Deus, just about 12 minutes walking (about 1 km) from the hotel. A large Commercial Centre (El Corte Inglés) sits beside this Metro station and is about 15 minutes walking from the Holiday Inn hotel (about 1 km).

Getting There
The least expensive option to get to the Holiday Inn is by Metro which operates daily from 06:00-01:00. It is useful to buy an Andante card (it is rechargeable and costs 0.6 Euros) and charge it with a Z4 ride (cost is 2.00 Euros).
The Andante card can be purchased at automatic ticket machines in the metro stations. A ride from the Airport Metro station (Metro line E, purple in map below), to the João de Deus Metro station (Metro line D, orange in map below) takes about 45 minutes. Note a change between the two lines at Trindade station. Do not forget to validate your Andante in any one of the station's yellow machines before you enter the metro (or a bus).
For arrival by car, useful driving directions to get to the hotel can be found here. Driving from the airport to the Holiday Inn hotel takes about 20 minutes.
Taxi is also a convenient way to get to the Holiday Inn hotel. The estimated price is around 30 Euros.

It is recommended that hotel booking is made as early as possible as these room prices are guaranteed only for a limited number of rooms and if reservation requests are received by the Holiday Inn hotel till May 18, 2019.
Early booking is also highly recommended because of the Saint John festivity on June 23-24 and that attracts many visitors.
