AES 142nd Convention
Location: Berlin, Germany
Dates: 20–23 May, 2017
Papers chairs of the upcoming Berlin convention, Thomas Sporer and Brett Leonard, are looking forward to considering your proposals for papers and engineering briefs. Proposals describing work in any area of audio engineering and its related arts and sciences will be considered for inclusion in convention sessions. A detailed list of proposed topics is given in the Call for Papers and the submission site is now open.
The convention committee is also eager to hear about proposals for workshops and tutorials.

The 2017 AES International Conference on Audio Forensics is dedicated to exploring advances in the field of audio forensics by providing a platform for research related to the forensic application of speech/signal processing, acoustical analyses, audio authentication, and the examination of methodologies and best practices. Erlangen, Germany, 22–24 June, 2017
Semantic Audio is concerned with the extraction of meaning from audio signals and with the development of applications that use this information to support the user in identifying, organizing, and exploring audio signals, and interacting with them. This will be the third AES conference on the topic and will provide the opportunity to present and discuss the latest advancements in the field. Struer, Denmark, 30 August – 2 September, 2017
This conference on sound reinforcement is a follow-up to the 2015 conference in Montreal and will focus on sound reinforcement in the open air. It will bring together recognized hands-on experienced practitioners, scientific experts, self-taught gurus, young technicians, and students in a creative environment. There will be workshops, demonstrations, and live experiments combined with paper presentations, engineering briefs, and tutorials.
Live performances will demonstrate the most advanced and up-to-date sound systems operated by renowned sound engineers on an outdoor stage.
