The AES recognizes and honors those who have made outstanding
contributions to the field of audio in engineering, technology,
service, and the arts through its Awards Program.
In 2007, John Meyer was presented with the
AES Silver Medal Award in recognition of his outstanding achievement in source independent measurement of public address systems and the advancement of quality in sound reinforcement.
