SC-03-07 meeting report, online meeting, 2023-10

Report of the meeting of the SC-03-07 Working group on Audio Metadata held online, 2023-10-09.

Tormod Værvågen convened the meeting.

Attendees were Richard Cabot, Scott Norcross, Paul Treleaven and Tormod Værvågen.

Minutes of previous meeting, held online 2022-10 were approved.

The formal notice on patent policy was read.

Open Projects:

AES31-4-R Review of AES31-4-2015, AES standard for network and file transport of audio - XML Implementation of Audio Decision Lists
Status: Needs to synchronize with SC-02-08 changes to AES31-3.

A copyright statement in the XML document, section 4, need to be deleted. Some labels need to be updated.

AES-X098C Administrative metadata for audio objects - Process history schema
Scope: To collect information on all metadata issues pertaining to digital audio objects and all aspects of the digital documentation of digital audio objects.

The new version EBU-CCDM is now published as EBU Corepluss, and X-098-C is an extension OWL to EBU Corepluss, conveying the additional classes and properties necessary for describing the process history of audio. Examples need to be updated, and the chair will go through the original document to make sure that all properties is covered either by EBU Corepluss or the X-098-C extension.

AES-X155 AES standard for audio metadata - Production recording metadata set (iXML)
Scope: This document specifies a format for communicating file- and project-based production metadata between various stages of production and post production workflow.

This task waits for input reference files.
