Open Projects

AES69-R Review of AES69-2022: AES standard for file exchange - Spatial acoustic data file format
This revision of AES69 now allows data representation in the spherical wave spectrum / spherical harmonics domain. The definition of the spherical harmonics is in accordance with what has been defined for EBU ADM and MPEG-H, and brings us closer to a well defined Higher-Order Ambisonics format (i.e. definition of the spherical harmonics used in audio and acoustics).

Liaisons

Nothing to report.

New projects

The working group will try to come up with a LaTeX template for AES standards and a list of (cross platform) tools that ease collaborative editing. We strongly believe that LaTeX eases collaborative editing and archiving of draft versions.

New business

No new business was proposed.

The next meeting will be held online in May 2023, scheduled in conjunction with the AES 154th Convention.
