Summary

The meeting begins with Bea announcing the new console coming to CRAS! With the slow phasing out of the Neotek Elite in Studio B, CRAS is introducing the SSL Origin console in its place! She introduces with Women Of Audio meeting tomorrow featuring Rachel Peller and encourages all attending members, regardless of gender, to attent. Bea introduces the mentorship program offered through CRAS, detailing how to find mentor resources, how to contact mentors, and how to get additional assistance with academics if needed.
Bea then dives into an explanation of AES, not just at CRAS, but as a whole. She introduces the member benefits available both in and out of school, as well as the internation impact of AES. She talks about the countless resources available through the AES web-portal and the networking opportunities presented through in person events and conferences. On top of all the benefits of being a member, CRAS students are offered a discount for membership!
Bea moves into a series of subgroup introductions, from EDM production to Guitar and Bass technical information. Each of the subgroup leads introduces their subgroup and regular meeting times, as well as offering ways to become a part of the group to any new members. Bea then runs introductions for all attendees, asking for name, current cycle, pronouns, and the weekly question: "If you could live in any video game world, which would it be?". Answers ranged from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, to GTA, and even Minecraft. Bea then encourages the attendees to network and have a great night!
