On Monday, May 15, a meeting was held with the members of the AES-TAMABA Student Section interested in participating in the edition of the "Student Recording Contest" that will be held within the framework of the next AES Latin American Audio Conference. LAC Quito 2023.
In the first instance, a review was carried out for each of the five Categories in which it can be applied and in a second round the student Bryan Aras (who obtained the Gold Medal in Category 1 "Traditional acoustic recording" in the 2023 edition) He commented on his experience in the Contest, shared with his colleagues the objectives and goals when competing, the difficulties he encountered and the solutions found. Then a collective listening of the material was carried out.
Members of the AES-TAMABA Section were encouraged to apply in all categories and the importance of keeping membership up to date was reinforced.
