Discussions:

• Upcoming events with section member involvement:
Capital U Creative Arts Workshop , March 25th, Keynote Warren Huart. After-event audio mingle.
Ohio University Music Industry Summit - April 5-6
CRASS - March 31 - April 2

• We spoke about coms and wireless, local DEI support but lack of programming or initiatives, members whose knowledge of unique skills such as baking magnetic tape might consider getting involved with the Archiving & Preservation Conference.

• Ryan Van Bibber let the group know about his highly ambitious project and planning for the new music and media center being built in a Civil War era building on the Fort Hayes high school art-magnet campus. Phase I and II are full of audio learning initiatives for students and the community. Ryan will be attending the AES Education Conference in Belgium.

• To get the Archival & Preservation party started, Lesley Fogle, Robin Gulcher, Constantine Hondroulis, and Terry Douds moved forward with a documentary on John Hull and his influential studio, Musicol. John is 94 years young and found early support for his love of physics and audio as a college student and member of the AES Student section at The University of Cincinnati. He has mentored many engineers during his career, created forward-thinking inventions, collected an impressive array of vintage audio gear, and holds of vault of early recordings from the area, including big band legacies such as Count Basie.

Robin and Lesley are producing. All AES members donated their time. Lesley and Costa used their production gear (aside from a lens rental) and ran three cameras at 4k and 32-bit float 48k audio. Edit and b-roll starts March 3th, 2023. Need to look at funding for edit and for future works.
