On this day, "AES LATAM Estudiantes" (a coalition of several Latin American Student Sections) had its first meeting of the year. The meeting was celebrated between the Executive Committes of said Student Sections and several points were discussed, including:
- Getting to know the newly elected Executive Committes as well as the new Student Sections that were incorporated since last year.
- Talking about our respective projects for this year and possible ways of coordinating efforts for projects involving multiple sections.
- Plans for making an Executive Committe for "AES LATAM Estudiantes" out of members of the Executive Committes of the Student Sections, that is, an "Executive Committe of Executive Committes" of sorts.
- Plans for getting in touch with the central authorities of AES to get our colective contact information updated.
- Talking about how each Section can contribute to this year's LAC (Latin American Conference) as well as its "CONTEO" (the student organized event preceding and giving way to the LAC), which are set for August and September respectively.
- Plans for finding ways to get our respective members to travel to Quito, Ecuador for this year's LAC.
The meeting was an overall success and many solutions and agreements, as well as many great ideas to be discussed in further detail in the near future, were reached. Future reports will most likely involve at least some of these.
