Since we are a new chapter we elected officers for the organization officially. The floor motioned that we keep the same officers that led us through the start up process. The motion seconded and was passed unanimously. This means that Liz May is our Chair, Terrance is our Vice-Chair, Howell Ledford is our Secretary, Scott Wynne is our Treasurer.
We then moved on to our January event at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC. Everyone is excited about this. Echo Mountain has recorded Grammy award winning albums, and Asheville is such a fun town. This should be a great event. There will be an early bird tour of the Moog Factory if people get there early enough. The social committee will send out more details.
We checked to see if the last Wednesday is still good for everyone as a standard meeting day, and it was good among the present. I will start booking those dates.
For the good of the order was enlightening. We have two Grammy nominated engineers in our ranks. Benjy Johnson and Jalani Harris. We hope and wish for their success.
