Summary

At first, Ms Marielle Jakobsons introduced Embody VR's "Immersive Gamepack", the personalized spatial audio technology installed in "FINAL FANTASY XIV". She explained the technology and values provided by Embody VR, such as the prospects for personalized HRTF necessary for games and content creators. The speakers, Mr. Kinuya Go and Mr. Minami Akihiro from SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. introduced the barriers against implementing 3D sound technology in games, the challenges facing introducing the technology, such as originality and ingenuity, and how to solve them. The discussions showed us what is the personalized Immersive Game Audio and discussion on immersive audio will go on in future game contents, or other contents. There were also many interesting questions from many participants. All the participants were impressed very much by the idea that the sound expression of the game is not only numerical but also emotional.
