Meeting Topic: We start with the pre-production of the AES-TAMABA Audio Conference
Moderator Name: Gustavo Gonzalez Indio Gauvron
Speaker Name: Nahuel Orellana Ariadna Trotta Brian Aras and others
Meeting Location: Buenos Aires
On Thursday, October 6, we met via zoom and began with a brainstorm to outline some actions to incorporate in the next scientific outreach sessions related to the AES-TAMABA 5 audio.
In the first round, the students Ariadna Trotta, Emanuel Zanoni and Nahuel Orellana presented the research work they are carrying out on the recording, mixing and reproduction of immersive audio systems, based on the reading of the book "Todo sobre el audio 3D" that a few weeks ago, a friend from the Student Section, Francisco Bissone, kindly sent us.
Regarding the research on immersive audio systems, we managed to develop a roadmap that includes a special talk by Indio Gauvron for the Student Section on the "Evolution of Sound Systems" to be held on Friday, October 14. On Wednesday the 19th we will have defined the topics to deepen, and then carry out some field trips to studios located in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and that have this type of systems.
In a second shift, we continue discussing the best way to continue with the investigations that we have in progress, resume them, reformulate them or start new ones.
Indio, took the floor and invited us to collaborate with some investigations that he has been carrying out. He showed us some examples and talked to us about the strengths and weaknesses of each example.
To close the meeting, we took stock of the participation in the AES LAC 2022, which included obtaining two medals (Gold and Silver) in the Student Recording Contest, the presentation of the Student Section before a "Latin American Conversation", a milestone milestone in the history of AES and the presentation of the 3D Simulator for acoustic measurements.
We keep working
