Summary

On Thursday, September 8, the AES-TAMABA Section, represented by the student Nahuel Orellana and the Faculty Advisor Gustavo González, met with Professor Indio Gauvron and the coordinator of the sound career of the TAMABA Tertiary Institute, Guido Alfonsi, to finalize details of what will be the participation and presentation at the Latin American Audio Conference AES LAC 2022.

A few months ago, Professor Indio Gauvron proposed to the Student Section to collaborate in the realization of a 3D Simulator for Didactic Training in transmission loss measurements. This tool emerges as an alternative to the face-to-face practices of the "Architectural Acoustics" subject of the Higher Technician in Sound and Musical Production career at the Institute, which had been affected by the pandemic and today, when we faced it again-face-to-face, became in a complementary tool to classes, allowing 100% virtual research and experimentation through an app, a web platform or in VR format.

All the mathematical calculations were in charge of Professor Indio Gauvron while the programming and 3D animations were in charge of Guido Alfonsi. The Student Section together with students from the "Acoustics 1, 2 and 3" classes contributed ideas and "user" experiences that enriched the software. We continue to develop the presentation and subject it to different types of tests.
