The Audio Engineering Society student chapter at William Paterson University hosted a panel discussion Monday, November 23, 2009. Hosting three guests in Live Room A of Penguin Studios in the Shea Building at William Paterson, topic of discussion was focused on the tribulations and lessons learned from being a recording studio owner in the audio industry. Participating in the discussion were alumni Kevin Antreassian, Matthew Ryan, and Joseph Steinwand, of Backroom Studios, HomeFront Studios, and Steinwand Sound Studio, respectively, and David Kerzner, coordinator of the Sound Engineering Arts program at William Paterson, moderator. The event started at 4pm, and ran for about 2 hours, wherein the guests spoke about their experiences since graduating from WPU and answered questions of the present students. The students got a chance to acquaint themselves with Kevin, Matt and Joe after the official discussion over sandwich wraps and beverages.
