On Thursday, October 21, 2021, a meeting was held by the AES Aural Acoustics and Perception department focused on the development of BAD Panels.
Following the theme of research and development of the panels / diffusers, sizes and basic parameters are set to define the work between reflection and diffusion, the importance of cavities in terms of diffusion is essential to treat them with different sizes following a semi-uniform pattern where converge all the frequencies that need to be treated, and we have also defined a minimum thickness for the absorption gradient. This is very important since our design must fulfill the function of diffusion and absorption so that it is something innovative in our field; the topics are defined to be discussed by each member and their proposal for the next audio experts in November of this year.
