On Monday, April 19, members of the Student Section met to exchange knowledge on editing, signal processing and mixing procedures.
In this case, student Elián Domínguez shared a mixing session with the audience and demonstrated his use of parallel compression on a drum bus.
In a "step-by-step" walkthrough, he developed the relevant explanations and performed several "blind tests" in which the implemented changes could be noticed. The audio processes shown had compression, parallel compression, uses of different reverbs, and preamp emulation as fundamental actors.
This activity was given within the framework of a series of mini talks produced by the students and whose main objective is to share their knowledge (and results obtained) with the rest of their classmates.
