Summary

In 2010, after 16 years in two other studio spaces in Amesbury and Newburyport producing folk, roots and singer-songwriter projects of all descriptions, Tom Eaton built UNS as a permanent home for his equipment and his production projects with an emphasis on comfort, sight-lines and ease of tracking small ensembles live.

Shortly after UNS was "completed" (these things never seem to be complete) Tom began spending half his time working alongside Will Ackerman at Imaginary Road Studios in Windham County, Vermont, as Will's chief engineer and co-producer. As a former and closet synthesizer/electronic music nut it was an opportunity of a lifetime for Tom to return to the instrumental world that had brought him to music in the first place. To be able to work alongside Will who literally defined the instrumental "new age" music genre with his Windham Hill record label was simply too good to pass up.

All of the post work (editing, mixing and mastering) for Imaginary Road albums as well as Tom's own productions, and Tom's composition work, is now done at UNS.
