Les Scott, owner of Source Q Boutique, came to the Conservatory to speak with students about getting work in the Audio Industry. He started the meeting by asking the students what areas they were interested in going into. He then spoke a bit about himself, what he does in the industry, what the industry is like now and how things work. He gave examples of ways to get work, such as pitching ideas and reaching out to get jobs instead of waiting for jobs to come to you. He also talked about the business side of the industry and touched a little bit on copyright. He gave some real life examples of legal issues that he has dealt with and gave the students some great tips on how to avoid them.
