Summary

The old NESCOM AES board was recognized for their service, and the new board was sworn in. After that the Audio 4 presentations took place. The Audio 4 class is an opportunity for students to take an entire semester to engineer an album with a local band (or any band that they can get to come to Bangor and record). The presentations consisted of the students talking about the recording and mixing process of the album they engineered, and then they would play two or three songs. There was a great variety in the music recorded; from intense heavy metal, to children's songs, to acoustic recordings of a female singer-songwriter. Everyone enjoyed listening to the students stories, hearing the music they recorded, and consuming the pizza and soda that was served.
