Joseph Henry Cortese, affectionately known as "Pastor Joe," is an accomplished musician, songwriter, producer, poet, playwright and filmmaker from The Bronx NY. After becoming the youngest drummer to play for singer Roberta Flack, he then went on to supply the backbeat for such musical legends as Andrae Crouch, Noel Pointer, Bobbi Humphrey, Yomo Toro, Joe Battan, Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz. Today at the age of 51, he is Senior Pastor of Crossroads Tabernacle, an innovative, inner-city church located in the Castle Hill section of The Bronx and home to the world class studio facility, Studio On The Hill, designed by John Storyk of WSDG, Highland NY.
