Mark Donaldson is the CEO of SoundChip SA, a Swiss-based engineering firm focused on the delivery of system-level audio solutions for the emerging market of smart headphoning and hearables.
Mark completed his Bachelor of Engineering degree, in mechanical, at the University of Auckland in 1996 and then a Master of Engineering degree, in Signal Processing and Control System Theory, also at Auckland, in 1998.
Since graduating, Mark has spent almost 20 years developing and commercialising active noise cancelling technology in the consumer audio and commercial aviation markets for various companies, including Phitek Systems Ltd and SoundChip SA.
Mark has authored, or co-authored with colleagues, more than 12 granted patents in the fields of active noise cancelling, media and communications systems, and headphone test and calibration equipment and co-developed, with SoundChip's founding partners, the STANCx range of low-power, HD-PA-compliant, digitally-controlled noise cancelling audio engines.
Mark is based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is married, and has two young boys, who, by all accounts, are well known for their broadband noise creating capabilities!
