Mark Rubel is Co-Director of Education and Instructor at The Blackbird Academy, housed in Blackbird Studio, Nashville TN. His Pogo Studio has recently reopened in Nashville, after decades of record-making in Champaign, IL. A bassist since 1970 and audio educator since 1985, Mark writes occasionally for recording magazines, and serves as a consultant, beta tester and forensic expert witness.
He is the author of the upcoming Hal Leonard book, "The Great American Recording Studios", and would love to hear from those with studio experiences, stories and documents relating to American recording studios of the 1960's and '70s.
