Elliot Patros holds a BFA in new music composition from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. There he wrote multichannel electroacoustic pieces, and improvised with diy software/hardware setups. Now Elliot is a PhD candidate in computer music at the University of California San Diego. His current research focuses on acoustic beamforming for binaural audio production, and on the interpolation of head-related transfer functions for binaural synthesis. In spare moments, he develops software for batch editing audio files, and has also written a number of plugins for popular real time audio softwares.
