Rob Taylor is a PhD researcher and academic at the University of Newcastle’s Faculty of Science and Information Technology, Australia. His research is in the area of acoustic communication, psychoacoustics and theoretical systems models. His doctoral thesis examines the use of hyper-compression in audio production. Born in Sydney Australia, music and audio has always been a large part of Rob' s life. Before undertaking academic research in 2011, Rob had a hugely successful 25 year career in music production in Australia amassing numerous gold/platinum selling releases and awards.
