Standards

September saw a number of revisions to AES standards published. AES17 deals with measurement of digital audo equipment, and the revision includes using more up-to-date measurement tools, plus advanced measurement methods for production testing, and frequency-domain and window-width filters. AES-R8 is an updated report on digital audio synchronization over wide-area networks, and minor changes resulting from a recent plugfest have been made to AES67, the audio-over-IP interoperability standard.

AES members can download copies of these and other standards free from the Standards Store.
