137th Convention
AES 137th Convention The 137th Convention starts on Thursday next week. Don't miss this golden opportunity to meet with your peers from the international audio community, and update your knowledge. Advance registration now closes at midnight (PDT) on October 3. There's a substantial discount for advance registration, but you're also welcome simply to show up and register on site. The opening ceremonies will feature a special keynote by acclaimed engineer, musician and record producer Alan Parsons. The event will be rounded out by a presentation of awards to industry leaders. Friday’s keynote speech will be given by Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy®, The GRAMMY Foundation® and MusiCares. Two not-to-be-missed highlights of the convention are the Project Studio Expo (PSE) and the Live Sound Expo (LSE). The PSE presents a series of practical training events taking place on the exhibition floor targeted to the burgeoning market of project and home studio facilities around the world. The LSE offers expert advice for live sound engineers with an emphasis on the practical, bringing professionals with decades of experience to the stage to inspire and educate attendees.
138th Convention
AES 138th Convention It's time to get working on proposals for contributions to our next European Convention, which will take place for the first time in Warsaw, in May 2015. The Call for Papers and Engineering Briefs is now available.

The Future of Audio Entertainment Technology:
Cinema, Television and the Internet, 57th Conference
Hollywood, CA, USA, March 6–8, 2015 This Conference marks the first time engineers and others engaged in audio for film, television, and the internet have gathered to discuss the future of these technologies. We've received submissions on a wide-range of subjects, some authors have requested additional time to complete their submissions. The deadline for proposed papers has been extended through October 22. Check out the Call for Contributions for further details.
