University of Hartford Senior Andrew Spalla presents to UHart's AES student section.
At noon on November 12, 2009, University of Hartford Senior Andrew Spalla gave a presentation on the Basics of System Integration. Drawing from his experience at DNR Productions of Watertown, CT, Spalla explained important considerations that should be made while designing and installing systems for clients. Using a well-orgnized Powerpoint, Andrew addressed the fundamentals of neatness, security, ease of use, wiring, and labeling using pictorial examples and photographs of DNR installs as visuals. He reminded those gathered to consider the customer while planning a system, advised the use of quality equipment to eliminate future problems, encouraged methods that have the least impact on a building, and stressed simplicity.
"It's all about construction," Andy says, emphasizing safety in rigging and mounting systems and reminding that only trained and qualified individuals should be working on installs.
"Neatness is key" are turely words that DNR lives by.
