Summary
Thomas (a York alumnus) came to talk about his experience in industry as a research engineer focusing on signal processing and disruptive UX design. The aim of this talk was to introduce some of today's key technologies, list the most important skills and tools that are necessary in a fast-paced software engineering environment, and introduce MUSIC Group and some of the opportunities that they offer.
His talk was followed by a Q & A session where it the discussion centred on how well Thomas's degree had prepared him for his year in industry, and what skills companies like Music Group are looking for in potential employees.
