The successful candidate will have a history of successful design and managerial experience from within the pro-audio sector, with a solid working knowledge of relevant technologies (acoustics design and manufacturing, communications and IP), and ideally a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Physics. You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of new product development within an R&D department, together with an understanding of market requirements and the enabling technologies, and the ability to identify opportunities and implement them in the necessary timescales. In addition, you shall have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing and production methods. As an experienced manager and team leader, you are able to manage people, budgets and project timescales, and you must be an excellent communicator able to interact effectively with team members, customers and executives, providing clear leadership and inspiration at a corporate level. This position will require frequent international travel to customer and company locations.

An experienced Senior Acoustic System Engineer with a deep understanding and knowledge of transducer and electro-acoustic system design is sought by an established international manufacturer of audio products and systems. In this role you will work with product managers to define product requirements and specifications; model, simulate and analyse results to develop new loudspeaker designs; research potential new technologies and materials; assemble prototypes for evaluation and verification, and oversee manufacturing of sample builds. You will be capable of exercising creativity and judgement to make effective engineering decisions and accomplish goals in quality, cost and within timescales. The successful applicant will be proficient at using acoustical simulation and modelling software, and have the necessary knowledge to specify system components including amplifiers, signal processing modules and wireless technology. Familiarity of working with UL, CE, EN54, and other regulatory requirements is desirable.
