Electronics Engineer (audio)

We are looking to expand our product development team by recruiting an electronics engineer. The position will require the candidate to be proficient in audio related design of electronic circuits and DSP. The candidate should show excellent communication skills along with the ability to clearly explain complex problems to other engineers.

Experience in audio systems will be a clear advantage. The main focus of the role will be to develop audio systems for in-home audio distribution and reproduction. This will involve developing systems that include control, signal processing and power amplification. The products that will be developed will range from networked audio systems with distribution to active speakers and subwoofers.

The role will involve design of:
• Initial Specification
• Component Selection
• Schematic Design
• PCB Layout
• Software development
• DSP development
• Testing and validation

Required Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Electronics or MSc/MEng in Electronics or equivalent
• Electronics course with audio related modules

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of 8/16/32bit MCU’s hardware,software and implementation
• Understanding of DSP hardware and implementation
• Understanding of Digital Signal Processing
• Working knowledge of computer audio and music
• Understanding of network audio
• Understanding of software validation and testing

In addition to the above the candidate must be willing to move to within reasonable commuting distance of Rayleigh, Essex.

Software Development Engineer

We are looking to expand our product development team by recruiting a software engineer. The position will require the candidate to be proficient in C and embedded systems and have working knowledge of 8/16/32bit MCU’s. Experience with Linux will be beneficial and experience writing cross platform desktop applications will also be helpful. The candidate should show excellent communication skills along with the ability to clearly explain complex problems to other engineers.

Experience in audio systems will be a clear advantage. The main focus of the role will be to develop audio systems for in-home audio distribution and reproduction. This will involve developing user interface systems through the use of buttons, LED’s and small screens. The products that will be developed will range from networked audio systems with distribution to active speakers and subwoofers.

• Computer Science course with audio related modules

• Working knowledge of computer audio and music

• Cross platform desktop application development
