Phd in Digital Audio Power Amplifiers using PWM in 1984. Lecturer then Full Professor at King's College London. At Queen Mary University of London since 2001. Founded Centre for Digital Music. Author of well over 400 papers. Fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, of AES, of IEEE and of IET.
Research areas have included: Digital Power Amplifiers, Sigma-Delta Modulation, EQ, Fractals and Chaos for Audio, Ambisonics, Binaural and more. Current research interests are: DSP for audio/music feature extraction, Music Informatics, Semantic Audio, Semantic Web technologies for Audio, Studio Science, Drum Analysis and Synthesis and more.
