Two integrated Jitter Elimination Technology PLLs allow the chip to operate in two clocks domains, jitter free. An ARM7TDMI RISC processor executes the Firewire protocol stack and can also process audio if desired. Extensive GPIO, including 4 optical encoder ports, allows the RISC processor to handle device control and user interface functions, too. Software for this chip will be provided to developers royalty free. The seminar will give attendees an overview of the chips, software, and development tools.
