HISTORICAL

The AES Historical Committee will run a small Exhibition of historical items such as the first telephone, the legendary first tape recorder of Telefunken, the so-called magnetophone, and the first loudspeaker designs. This is an ideal ambience to meet experts and friends in leisure. From time to time there will be “Show Times” with veteran experts pointing out and explaining the features of the equipment on display. The schedule will be posted at the entrance of the History Room.
On Saturday morning a Meeting of the Historical Committee will be held, which is open to all badge colors.
On Saturday afternoon there will be a special Paper Session called AUDIO HISTORY (for details see Papers Session Q)
On Friday afternoon there is a Special Event commemorating the 20th birthday of the Compact Disc, called 20 Years of the Compact Disc - A Review
