S. Harris reported that P. Johansen, who was writing the 1394.1 standard, has recently gotten new funding and will continue. There is no date yet for the availability of the next draft.

The 1394TA had its second quarter meeting at Oxford Semiconductor in 2003-07. The next meeting is set for October 20-23, 2003, South San Francisco, California, USA.
The A/V Working Group is looking at the following topics:
M. Mora of Apple asked if the Trade Association plans to publish audio guidelines similar to video guidelines. Fujimori answered that the DVD Forum and other organizations are expected to do that within their application space.

Task group SC-06-02-G met before the SC-06-02 meeting. SC-06-02-G promoted the proposal of Fujimori for General Data up to SC-06-02.
K. Ruling of the Entertainment Services & Technology Association (ESTA) presented their draft standard BSR E1.17, commonly known as "ACN", a network control protocol suite.
AES-X132: Synchronisation of audio over IEEE 1394
We continue to await the completion of 1394.1, we then anticipate a report from T. Thaler.
The next meeting is scheduled to be held in conjunction with AES 116th convention in Berlin, 2004-05.
