In 2009, Omid has moved to the United States and despite his unrelated professional background, his unbridled passion for audio led him back to university to obtain an Electronics Engineering degree and a position as Harman's Audio Engineering intern in November 2015. During his internship, Omid established himself as a valuable contributor to the Harman's R&D team working closely with the Sr. Principle Acoustic Engineer and Acoustic Research Sr. Fellow which led him to be a co-author of two AES papers. Shortly after, Harman has hired Omid as an Acoustic Engineer. Since then, Omid has co-authored and presented multiple AES papers, among which, one has won the best peer-reviewed AES paper award in 2017. Omid's work is focused on objective and subjective tests and research on the perception and measurement of loudspeakers, headphones, room acoustics, automotive and other audio devices.
