Noise in Audio Systems

Document Thumbnail

Noise is inherent in audio systems: it can be measured, manipulated, and minimized through application of known techniques. New standards have helped to bring assessment more in line with listening and thus helped to improve the state-of-the art. These techniques and standards are reviewed, and new findings and circuits presented which are designed to minimize noise.
